A buyer asking about a forklift with a telescopic boom is usually describing a telehandler. The proposal should state maximum lift height and forward reach, but the decisive number is the machine’s permitted capacity at the exact height and reach the job requires. Review the manufacturer load chart for the proposed configuration.
Tires, ground clearance, steering modes, stabilization, cab, power and approved attachments affect both fit and price. Forks, buckets and lifting attachments are not interchangeable, and an attachment can change capacity. Describe the load dimensions, weight, placement point, terrain, slope and space for maneuvering.
Include freight or transport, mobilization, delivery access, warranty or rental maintenance and the expected term. Compare the complete proposal for the actual jobsite rather than a headline capacity or daily rate.
